Auction Overview

Each year, our auctions contribute approximately 1/3 of the overall money raised to support the wonderful HRC cause. Without the regular support and donations from so many Atlanta-based companies and organizations, our continued success in the Annual Auction would not be as high as it is now.

Auction Formats: Live & Silent

We have two auctions at each annual Gala. A Live Auction with our most valuable and highly sought after donations will occur during the dinner, and a Silent Auction occurs approximately two hours before seating begins at the host location.

Featuring Q100's Melissa Carter as the Evening's Live Auctioneer

Melissa Carter is Co-Host of "The Bert Show" on Q100 (99.7 FM) and is one of the few out gay morning show hosts in the country, and the first in Atlanta. She is a former Co-Host of "Radio with a Twist," the first broadcast syndicated radio show geared toward the gay community. Melissa is also the 2006 recipient of The Leon Allen and Winston Johnson Community Service Award.

Donations

The Silent Auction is an exciting opportunity for Gala guests to purchase high-quality merchandise and services from a variety of businesses and organizations that are supportive of equality. Generous HRC partners from here in Atlanta all the way to Dubai donated over $250,000 in fantastic values! Our offerings include original artwork, home furnishings, professional services, dining and entertainment, retail merchandise and high-quality travel packages. All told, expect to have the opportunity to bid on nearly 300 different items. At the Atlanta HRC Silent Auction, there truly is something for everyone!

The Live Auction is one of the most vibrant components of the HRC Gala Dinner. The dinner program comes to a pause as bidders compete for luxurious home furnishing packages and amazing vacation getaways! Past Live Auction packages have included an amazing trip to China from Delta Air Lines and InterContinental Hotels, week-long Mayan Riviera vacation through Luxe Gay Travel, a Harrah's VIP weekend in Vegas, a stunning bedroom remodel from Pineapple House Interior Design, a “Body by Blue” makeover from Blue MedSpa and a $10,000 Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams shopping spree.

Promote Your Business and Support HRC

The Atlanta HRC Silent Auction is widely regarded as one of the best in the nation. It's not just an auction - it's a party! We strive to provide our donors with exceptional value for their consideration. You can be sure that we will showcase your donation in the best possible fashion. For high-value donations, we can make special arrangements to shine an even brighter spotlight on your business.

Donate to the Auction

If you are interested in donating merchandise or services, please let us know! You or your company will receive listings on the atlantahrcdinner.org Web site, in the Atlanta Gala program book, and in the Silent Auction program book. All guests receive a copy of both books, and many save the Silent Auction program book to work with merchants who have supported our cause.

Silent Auction: The Silent Auction is selective in the products we display, and only offer 350 items in the auction each year. We kindly request that each donation have a minimum retail value of $100; however, we will accept all donations and group items together in order to create wonderful packages.

Live Auction: The Live Auction is the highest profile exposure your business can have at the HRC Gala Dinner. Items donated with a market value of greater than $12,000 will be guaranteed a spot in the Live Auction. The 1,000+ attendees will be focused on your donation as it is auctioned live on stage. If you've got a donation that you think can command excitement and you want your business to have unparalleled exposure at the Gala, please let us know!
